Celebrating Tammy Kitten - 13 Fabulous Years at Kitten D’Amour
There are some people who pass through a workplace… and then there are people who become part of its spirit. For thirteen wonderful years, Tammy Kitten has been one of those people.
From the moment you meet Tam, you feel it - the warmth, the joy, the sparkle, the unmistakable energy that seems to follow her everywhere she goes. She has a way of making people feel lighter, happier, and somehow more themselves after spending time with her.
Tammy has always lived life beautifully and with intention.

They are not just phrases to Tam - they are the way she moves through the world.
With her flame-coloured hair, glamorous victory rolls, vintage dresses and rockabilly spirit, Tammy has always looked like she stepped straight out of a beautifully colourised 1950s photograph. A lover of hot rods, mid-century style, fabulous fashion and finding joy in everyday life, Tam doesn’t simply wear vintage fashion - she lives it.
And Guests absolutely adore her for it!
Over the years, Tammy has brought so many Kitten collections to life in her own unforgettable way. From Vicious Kitten to Swiss Miss, Lucky Country, Vintage Violet, Picnic in Paris, Holly Heatwave and Kiss Me Darling, she has always worn every design with pure joy and personality. One of our favourite memories is seeing Tam model for Kiss Me Darling - glamorous, playful and completely in her element.
Tammy’s gorgeous home has even become part of Kitten history over the years, hosting photoshoots filled with laughter, styling chaos, cups of tea and plenty of baked treats from the company’s unofficial baker herself. Because of course Tammy isn’t only glamorous - she’s also the Kitten everyone hopes is bringing snacks.
Tammy is a whirlwind in the very best possible way. One quick phone call from Tam and suddenly you’re delivering a dress across town for a Guest, rehanging stock you only meant to walk past, laughing until your cheeks hurt, or staying far longer than planned because her enthusiasm sweeps everyone along with it.
Adrienne Kitten still laughs about her very first trial shift at Carindale somehow turning from one hour into nearly five because Tammy simply forgot to send her home amongst all the fun, styling, chatting and excitement. Honestly, that story says everything about Tam. Time seems to disappear around her joyful laugh, sunshine smile and infectious energy.
How blessed I have been - Kittening for just over 13 years - but the time has come for a new adventure called "Retirement". It’s time and I will miss each and everyone of you!
You’ll see me from time to time pop in store to say hello and to check out the new collections (of course!). What a marvellous time I have had, styling beautiful Kittens that have visited the boutiques.
You are all my Kitten Family. I have worked with many incredibly talented and passionate Kittens over the years and I’ll treasure every moment. Here’s to new adventures! 
Tammy has brought glamour, humour, kindness and so much heart to Kitten D’Amour for thirteen beautiful years, and while we’re going to miss seeing her in-store, we are so excited for this next chapter for her.
Tammy, thank you for every laugh, every fabulous hairstyle, every beautiful dress, every encouraging word, every baking masterpiece, and every little bit of joy you brought into our boutiques over the years.
We wish you the happiest retirement imaginable - filled with hot rods, dancing in the kitchen with your husband, beautiful vintage treasures, fabulous outfits, sunshine, laughter and all the things you love. You truly are a girl in a million!✨
Oh my! I saw Carindale was closing post & put together all my gorgeous Kitten shopping bags to recycle – figuring the sale would get through heaps and they would’ve want to be stuck without any or have to order more…I gave them to Tammy and was telling her how upset I was that the store was closing; when they closed at the start of COVID it really messed with my mental health and smelling their signature scent as I walk by & see the stunning displays and make regular impulse purchases- then Tammy said “did you see the second post?” I said no, she said she’s retiring in line with the store closing and I burst into tears! Since we moved to Brisbane and prior it was visiting from interstate,Tammy and her charm, her stories, her warmth and energy have been like coming home when you enter the store. She & Jackie are literally the perfect team and I will miss her terribly. onions the cute cooking blogs thru covid lockdowns, the vintage hairstyling & treat sessions and all the care and attention for my daughter who she’s seen grow from primary student to now uni student. She’s meant more to me than many relatives and I count her as a true friend and wonderfully wicked saleswoman. Tam, I’m not crying, you’re crying, I will miss you so much 😭😍😭 Bestest wishes on your retirement, I hope it gives you more time with family & travel and baking and shopping Love Sharon 🥰

Tammy you are the most wonderful whirlwind of Joy! You give the utmost for all the Kitten guests and always go that extra mile to find what we are looking for.
The duo of Jackie and Tam are definitely the highlight of any visit any store (which is many), and i know Dan and myself will miss your energy.

You truly are ‘one in a million’ and a great role model for other Kitten employees. I believe you have made a great contribution to the success of Kitten D’Mour as a business overall. I will miss you.
Oh Tammy, you secretly were always my favourite Kitten and of course like our children we are not supposed to tell anyone who our favourite is. I remember when you started working at Kitten and I loved hanging out with you. All my love darling lady. I am sure you will be busier than ever going into retirement. xxx
