Celebrating Tammy Kitten - 13 Fabulous Years at Kitten D’Amour
There are some people who pass through a workplace… and then there are people who become part of its spirit. For thirteen wonderful years, Tammy Kitten has been one of those people.
From the moment you meet Tam, you feel it - the warmth, the joy, the sparkle, the unmistakable energy that seems to follow her everywhere she goes. She has a way of making people feel lighter, happier, and somehow more themselves after spending time with her.
Tammy has always lived life beautifully and with intention.

“Every day is a good dress day.”
“Wear all the dresses.”
They are not just phrases to Tam - they are the way she moves through the world.
With her flame-coloured hair, glamorous victory rolls, vintage dresses and rockabilly spirit, Tammy has always looked like she stepped straight out of a beautifully colourised 1950s photograph. A lover of hot rods, mid-century style, fabulous fashion and finding joy in everyday life, Tam doesn’t simply wear vintage fashion - she lives it.
And Guests absolutely adore her for it!
Over the years, Tammy has brought so many Kitten collections to life in her own unforgettable way. From Vicious Kitten to Swiss Miss, Lucky Country, Vintage Violet, Picnic in Paris, Holly Heatwave and Kiss Me Darling, she has always worn every design with pure joy and personality. One of our favourite memories is seeing Tam model for Kiss Me Darling - glamorous, playful and completely in her element.
Tammy’s gorgeous home has even become part of Kitten history over the years, hosting photoshoots filled with laughter, styling chaos, cups of tea and plenty of baked treats from the company’s unofficial baker herself. Because of course Tammy isn’t only glamorous - she’s also the Kitten everyone hopes is bringing snacks.
Tammy is a whirlwind in the very best possible way. One quick phone call from Tam and suddenly you’re delivering a dress across town for a Guest, rehanging stock you only meant to walk past, laughing until your cheeks hurt, or staying far longer than planned because her enthusiasm sweeps everyone along with it.
Adrienne Kitten still laughs about her very first trial shift at Carindale somehow turning from one hour into nearly five because Tammy simply forgot to send her home amongst all the fun, styling, chatting and excitement. Honestly, that story says everything about Tam. Time seems to disappear around her joyful laugh, sunshine smile and infectious energy.
How blessed I have been - Kittening for just over 13 years - but the time has come for a new adventure called "Retirement". It’s time and I will miss each and everyone of you!
You’ll see me from time to time pop in store to say hello and to check out the new collections (of course!). What a marvellous time I have had, styling beautiful Kittens that have visited the boutiques.
You are all my Kitten Family. I have worked with many incredibly talented and passionate Kittens over the years and I’ll treasure every moment. Here’s to new adventures! 
Tammy has brought glamour, humour, kindness and so much heart to Kitten D’Amour for thirteen beautiful years, and while we’re going to miss seeing her in-store, we are so excited for this next chapter for her.
Tammy, thank you for every laugh, every fabulous hairstyle, every beautiful dress, every encouraging word, every baking masterpiece, and every little bit of joy you brought into our boutiques over the years.
We wish you the happiest retirement imaginable - filled with hot rods, dancing in the kitchen with your husband, beautiful vintage treasures, fabulous outfits, sunshine, laughter and all the things you love. You truly are a girl in a million!✨
I remembered first time met you at Carindale boutique in 2015 serving me with Beautiful Jess kitten and had fun time taken pictures and bought the day dress, sun glasses..bag..short sleeve crop cardi in blue…eversince I always cherish your friendly welcome in the KDA boutique and finding me what I needed.. thank you for your kind services. Happy & welcome to your retirement era❤️🤗🤩💐🎉
Dear Tammy, How much do I love seeing you in all your gorgeousness when I visit kitten on the other side of town, wishing carindale and Indooropilly were a bit closer! Darling Tam , you were a huge reason I came back to buy my very first Kitten outfit at Indropillay. I wandered in totally decked out in another fashion label looking in wonderment at kittens collections and as the style was so different from what I was wearing I was a tad bewildered and didn’t know where to start xxxx
You’re welcoming demeanour and posativity out me at ease immediately x
You even kindly complimented me on what I was wearing.. helped me with sizing and accessories and put no pressure on me to purchase. I had to have a think about it all xx and if course I came back and spent way more than planned because kitten made me feel fabulous and YOU Tam gave me THE BEST custome service I’d ever experienced.
You put up with me whirlwinding in and out of store ,asking to to find me treasure that seemed to have disappeared and yet miraculously you found them for me
You’re heart is so full of goodness and kindnesd and even when the chips were down you never let it affect you kind and fabulous customer care.

I’m not sure how I’ll manage without you’re beautiful smiling Demeanour .

I REMEMBER CLOSING of Indro store not only were you sorting shop clothing etc but you’d made cup cakes not just cup cakes but also thought of those that needed gluten free so you made extra batches.
